This moment is your life.
At this group (adults ages 50+), we meet to enjoy relationships, have a Bible study, and do a variety of other activities.

Our Statement
It is the testimony of both the Old and New Testaments and of the Christian Church that God is both One and Triune.
The biblical revelation testifies that there is only one God and that He is eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We affirm that the Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, is alone the only infallible, inspired Word of God and that its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, or superseded in any regard. The Bible is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness and practical Christian conduct.
The Word of God declares clearly that salvation is a free gift of God, based on the merits of the death of His Son, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is affected by personal repentance, belief in the Lord Jesus (justification), and personal acceptance of Him into one’s life as Lord and Savior (regeneration).
The new life in Christ includes the privileges of adoption and inheritance in the kingdom of God’s beloved Son. Salvation is an act of free will in response to God’s personal love for mankind. It is predestined only in the sense that God, through His omniscience, foreknew those who would choose Him. It is secure in the eternal, unchanging commitment of God who does not lie and is forever the same. Salvation should produce an active lifestyle of loving obedience and service to Jesus Christ our Savior.

What We Do

Donate

Youth groups are a great way for young people in a church or religious organization to get together and support each other.
We are constantly organizing mission trips for our church groups and communities. You can donate to support them.
Sermons
The tomb is empty, and Jesus is alive. But it's common for many to forget the Holy Spirit is Jesus in us and with us.
Who is Holy Spirit? What does He do? What are His gifts, and how do we experience Him? In this series, we remove the mystery that surrounds the third person of the Trinity. We are meant to know God the Holy Spirit as fully as we do God the Father and God the Son.
You’ve heard it your whole life:
These are all good things. But Jesus didn’t come to give us a to-do list. Jesus came so we could experience a full, abundant life.
No matter how happy a couple is, everyone can think of something they want to be different.
Maybe you wish he would come home at 5 or she would spend less time on the phone. Maybe, your differences run so deep they seem irreconcilable. But for all the reasons to break the knot, there's always a reason to tighten it.

I feel so blessed with this relationship that I have been developing with God. I have experienced sadness, loss, and heartache. I know what it is to be so sick that sometimes I could not even walk, and did not want to talk. I know what it is to feel low and depressed, and from the depths of my problems and despair I found myself asking God the question, “Why me?”. My life has changed thanks to the Modern Church, here I found the community support and true faith.

I was desperate to find the sense of life and came to the Modern Church. Now, I have learned to have faith in God and to call on his name through prayer and praise. He has been faithful to hear and answer when I call upon him. He has given me a joy in my heart so that, no matter what I am going through, my spirit remains bright; it remains happy, and it remains constant. God has been so good to me I cannot complain.

I am happy that I have found a place and a family, a Modern Church, where I can worship and learn about God’s love. I have learned that without Jesus in my life, I cannot be truly happy. All the material things that I once thought I needed in my life to be happy, I no longer desire because God has filled me up with His grace and mercy and I thank Him, I praise Him. When I feel the pressure of this world, I now know how to ask God for perseverance and strength.

FAQ
We have two worship services and sermons each Sunday, both held in the sanctuary. Our 8:30 a.m. service is relaxed, featuring familiar hymns and piano accompaniment.
Our 10:45 a.m. service includes a choir and a children’s time. Both services offer the celebration of communion every Sunday, and all believers are welcome to participate.
Children are a special part of our congregation and we value them as full participants in the life of our church. Sunday School classes for children (preschool through the 12th grade) begin at 9:30 a.m. Following the Children’s Time in the 10:45 worship service, children ages 3 years old through second grade are dismissed to participate in their own time of singing, prayer and Bible learning known as Worship and Wonder (see below for more information on this program).
We have quite a mixture of people. Our congregation truly spans the ages, from newborns to folks in their 80s. You’ll find just about every type of person here – married, single, divorced, widowed – professionals, workers, retired – life-long residents and those who have just recently moved to the area. But even more important than the kind of people who go here is the kind of people who are welcome here – everyone!
Not at all! In fact, many in our congregation come from a church background. We have many former Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and Methodists. We are a “patchwork” church – people with different church backgrounds “woven together” by God’s grace.
